Who We Are
The Sudbury Bhakti Centre is a welcoming community of practitioners following the path of bhakti-yoga — the practice of loving devotion to God (Kṛṣṇa) — in the line of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda and the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition.
We gather to chant the holy names, study the Bhagavad-gītā, honour sanctified vegetarian food (prasādam), and care for one another as a spiritual family. Rooted in the Bhakti-vṛkṣa model of devotee care, every member is personally welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow.
Wherever you are on your journey — all are welcome.
What We Do
Joyful congregational chanting of the holy names — the heart of our gatherings and open to everyone.
Friendly, practical classes exploring the timeless wisdom of the Gītā and its relevance to daily life.
Sharing Śrīla Prabhupāda's sacred books with our city — bringing spiritual knowledge to every home.
Small, caring weekly gatherings where devotees practise, learn, and support one another like family.
Delicious sanctified vegetarian food, lovingly prepared and shared — good association around the plate.
Celebrating Janmāṣṭamī, Gaura-Pūrṇimā, Rathayātrā and more, with the whole community joining in.
A Joyful Milestone
By Kṛṣṇa's grace and the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda, our community held its first book distribution at Bell Park — a beautiful day of kīrtan, conversation, and sharing the holy books with the people of Sudbury.
“Books are the basis, purity is the force, preaching is the essence, utility is the principle.” — A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda
Moments of Devotion

Honoured Guests
June 10–13, 2026 · at the Sudbury Bhakti Centre
ISKCON sannyāsī from the sacred land of Lord Jagannātha · disciple of H.H. Gour Govinda Swami Mahārāja
For the holy month of Puruṣottama (Adhika) Māsa, we were deeply blessed to host H.H. Haldhar Swami Mahārāja in Sudbury. Over several days of Bhāgavata-kathā, Mahārāja revealed that the true goal of all devotion is pure love of God.
Mahārāja spoke on:
“People take shelter of God for many reasons — to fulfil their desires, to wash away their sins, to find peace. But why should we take shelter of Him? For one reason alone: to attain pure love.”
“Chant the holy name in a mood of surrender, and love will surely awaken. This is Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's gift — to place divine love within the heart of the devotee.”
